Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy Yoga classes provide women with a safe environment in which to explore their feelings and to adapt to the changes in their bodies.

Yoga can provide a constant thread of stability. The principles of yoga include balance, awareness and respect. Women are empowered to feel confident in their ability to give birth. Yoga postures and movements will provide more space for the baby and alleviate many pregnancy discomforts.

Every class ends with a deep relaxation allowing the body to release tensions and the mind to become still. Both mother and baby are nourished and energy is renewed.

Pregnancy Yoga classes will be 75 minutes and include yoga sequences specifically adapted for pregnancy and movements to alleviate discomforts and renew energy. Breathing techniques and relaxation skills are taught and there is time for discussion in a relaxed and friendly environment. Gentle stretches to maintain energy and deep relaxation help you to calm and release stress.

About Mariana:

Mariana fell in love with yoga in 2010 when she moved to Oslo. Her passion for the practice grew side by side with the huge benefits it brought to her body and her soul, to the point that she decided to completely change her career and become a full time yoga teacher. Mariana is a certified teacher in Perinatal Yoga, Baby Yoga, Nurturing Baby Massage and soon Post-Natal Yoga by Birthlight (Yoga Alliance UK accredited). She is also a Bikram Hot Yoga certified teacher and a Reiki therapist. When she got pregnant in 2013, she kept up her practice, and she thanks yoga for the smooth, happy and healthy pregnancy and post-natal period she had, as well as for her healthy and energetic little girl who is already a little baby yogi!

Mariana strongly believes that yoga is not only a physical practice; it is also a path to deepen self-knowledge and self-acceptance of who you are.
